A LITTLE USE-IT-UP BAKE
A quiet kitchen moment — shared from what we already had.
The other night, I didn’t have a plan for dinner.
Just a few things tucked away — leftover turkey, sautéed kale, a bit of rice, and a couple of potatoes.
Nothing that felt like a recipe. But together… maybe something.
I layered everything into a buttered dish, topped it with buttered breadcrumbs and a little Parmesan, and slid it into the oven.
No measurements. No intention beyond not letting good food go to waste.
It came out golden and warm — simple, comforting, and unexpectedly good.
Not every meal begins with a plan.
Some begin with care.
This is just one quiet moment from The Inner Kitchen — on Patreon where I share the more lived-in, unplanned side of the table.

It’s amazing how something so basic, and easy to make, can look so mouth watering. I like the “no-measurements” part too.

Me too 😊 I really was surprised that it ended up being so good…I’ll be honest, I wasn’t sure it was going to work out. I give all the credit to the buttered crumbs & parm! 😉
